Let’s Pretend

20170104_234246

Let’s pretend,
Here in this insignificant moment.

Pretend,
This is my bed every morning I wake up.

Pretend,
These walls are clothed in my consciousness.

Pretend,
My days have always begun and ended here.

Pretend,
The pictures on the wall bring me warm sentimental memories.

Pretend,
The outside bustle is going on just like it always has.

Pretend,
I’ll know which direction to go when I exit the front gate.

Pretend,
My days have always started this way, all the same.

As I embark on my journey,
On this very different, different day.
